# flconsole Telegram bot guide

The flconsole bot sends you new Upwork jobs that match your search and filters, within a minute of posting. You set it up in three short messages, in plain words. This guide covers every step, all filters and all commands.

## How a feed works

A **feed** is a search plus filters. The moment a matching job goes live on Upwork, the bot sends it to you within a minute.

- **Only new jobs.** Jobs posted before the feed started aren't sent.
- **Three steps to create one:**

```text title="Creating a feed"
1  Search     what to look for
2  Filters    which jobs and clients
3  AI filter  what to skip (optional)
```

- **Plain words, no forms.** You type each step as a normal message. Before anything goes live, the bot shows what it understood.
- **Every step has a 📖 Guide button** with details and examples.
- **Up to 5 feeds.** Change any feed later the same way you created it.

With narrow filters a feed can be quiet for hours. That's normal.

## Search

The search is the base of your feed: Upwork finds jobs by these words, and your filters then narrow them down. Type it the same way you would on Upwork:

| Query | What it finds |
|---|---|
| `react native` | Jobs with both words |
| `"voice agent"` | The exact phrase |
| `vapi OR retell` | Jobs with any of them |
| `python NOT wordpress` | Jobs without the excluded word |

### Tips

- **At least 3 letters.** `ai` alone matches almost everything.
- **Only keywords.** Rates, locations and clients come in step 2.
- **Several related tools?** Join them with `OR`: `elevenlabs OR vapi OR retell`.
- **In English.** Upwork jobs are posted in English, so a search in another language finds almost nothing.
- **Commas don't split a search.** `react, vue, angular` looks for jobs with all three words. For any of them, use `react OR vue OR angular`.
- **2–3 key skills work best.** The more words, the fewer jobs match. Pasted a job description? Pick the skills from it.
- **Exclusions need something to look for.** `NOT wordpress` alone is rejected; `python NOT wordpress` works.

### An Upwork search link instead of a query

Handy if you already have a search set up on Upwork.

1. Open `upwork.com/nx/search/jobs` in a browser. A computer is easiest: the Upwork app doesn't show links.
2. Type your search and set filters on the left.
3. Copy the whole address from the address bar and send it to the bot.

The bot takes the search and every filter from the link. It must be a **search page** link, not a link to a single job.

## Filters

Describe filters the way you'd explain them to a colleague: one message, any language. The bot turns it into filters and shows you what it understood before anything goes live. You can also tap Skip to get every job for your search.

### What you can filter

| Group | Filters |
|---|---|
| Job | Hourly or fixed price, hourly rate, fixed budget, experience level, project length, hours per week, contract-to-hire |
| Client location | Include or exclude a country (United States), a subregion (Western Europe) or a whole region (Europe) |
| Client | Payment or phone verified, rating, reviews, total spent, hours paid, hire rate, jobs posted, open jobs, hires, active hires, work history, average rate paid, average spent per hire, account age, enterprise |
| Job details | With or without screening questions and attachments |
| Category | Upwork categories and subcategories |

A job matches if it's in any of the listed categories or subcategories.

### Examples

```text title="Filter examples"
hourly from $40, expert only
fixed price, budget $500+
clients from US, UK or Canada
Northern America or Western Europe
payment verified, rating 4.5+
spent $10k+, hire rate 50%+
```

Or all in one message:

```text title="One message"
Hourly from $40, expert level. Clients from the US or Western Europe, payment verified, spent $10k+, rating 4.5+.
```

### Changing the result

After the bot shows what it understood, just write what to change. It's applied on top; the rest stays:

| Message | What it does |
|---|---|
| `rating from 4.8` | Replace a value |
| `also Australia` | Add to a list |
| `drop Canada` | Remove one item |
| `any budget` | Clear a filter |

If the bot isn't fully sure about something, it says so and asks you to check.

### Not a filter?

Skills and tools belong in the search. Anything else, like time zone, team size or type of project, goes into the AI filter in step 3.

## AI filter

Filters work with numbers and checkboxes. The AI filter reads every job that passed them, the way you would, and drops the ones that clearly don't fit. It's optional.

### What it reads

It reads each job that passed your filters — text, terms and client stats — and drops the ones that clearly break your rules. You write the rules in plain words, in one message. It never sees the client's name.

### How it decides

- A job is dropped only when it **clearly** breaks a rule. When in doubt, you still get it: missing a good job is worse than getting an extra one.
- If the check can't finish quickly, the job is sent without it, so alerts aren't delayed.
- The feed card shows how many jobs the AI filter has dropped.
- You can rewrite or remove the AI filter later from the feed card.

### Good rules are specific

```text title="AI filter rules"
Only AI voice, audio or video projects. Skip human voice-over and plain telephony.
Skip agencies and staffing firms.
No full-time employee roles.
Skip jobs that need native Spanish.
```

Rules can be up to 2,000 characters. Short, concrete rules work best.

### Less useful here

- Rates, locations, client stats: filters handle them exactly.
- Vague wishes like "good jobs only".
- Things a post rarely says, like "remote only": if the job doesn't mention it, you still get it.
- Rules about proposal counts: jobs reach you within a minute, before many have applied.

### Free, no API keys

The AI filter is part of flconsole and free. It runs on our side: no API keys, no credits, no card.

## Commands

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/new` | Create a new feed |
| `/feeds` | Your feeds: tap one to edit, pause or delete it |
| `/mcp` | Connect an AI agent; see and disconnect your connections |
| `/stop` | Pause all alerts. Your feeds and filters stay |
| `/resume` | Turn alerts back on after `/stop` or a pause for inactivity |
| `/keep` | Keep alerts on for the next 24 hours, even if you don't open any jobs |
| `/cancel` | Stop what you're setting up |
| `/help` | How flconsole works |

`/resume` brings back only feeds stopped with `/stop` or paused for inactivity. Feeds you paused one by one stay paused: resume them in `/feeds`. After `/resume`, only jobs posted from then on are sent.

## Limits

| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Feeds | 5, paused ones included |
| Jobs sent | Up to 10 an hour across all your feeds; past that, the rest of the hour isn't sent |
| Search | At least 3 letters, up to 1,000 characters |
| AI filter | Up to 2,000 characters |
| Feed name | Up to 40 characters |
| Pause for inactivity | If jobs keep coming and you don't open any or use the bot for a day, your feeds pause until you send `/resume` |

The hourly limit resets at the start of each hour (UTC). When it's reached, the bot tells you once and names your busiest feeds, so you can narrow them.

If a feed finds nothing for 2 weeks, the bot suggests broadening it.

## Good to know

### Why did my alerts pause?

flconsole is free, so it pauses alerts nobody reads: if jobs keep coming and you don't open any for a day, your feeds pause until you send /resume.

Opening a job from an alert or sending the bot anything counts as activity. If you read jobs right in the chat without opening them, send `/keep` once a day and the bot won't pause.

### How do I turn alerts back on?

Send `/resume` or tap **Resume alerts** under the pause message. Only jobs posted from then on are sent. Feeds you paused one by one: open `/feeds`, tap the feed and tap **Resume**.

### How do I change a feed?

Send `/feeds` and tap the feed. On the feed card:

- **🔍 Search** changes the search. Your filters stay.
- **✨ Filters** changes filters in your own words, like `rate from $75, only expert level` or `add Australia, drop Canada`. Only what you mention changes; tap **Undo** if it's not what you meant.
- **🤖 AI filter** lets you rewrite or remove the AI filter.

You can also rename or pause a feed there. Sending an Upwork search link instead of a new search replaces the search and all filters.

### How do I delete a feed?

Send `/feeds`, tap the feed, tap **Delete** and confirm. The feed and its filters are deleted. To stop alerts without deleting anything, use **Pause** or `/stop` instead.
