1. ## Step 1: Open the bot and tap Start

Open @flconsole\_upwork\_job\_alerts\_bot in Telegram and tap Start. The bot greets you and asks for your first message.

_Illustration: The bot's first message after you tap Start_

2. ## Step 2: Send what you'd search for on Upwork

Type 2–3 key skills, the same way you would in Upwork search. Just keywords: rates, countries and clients come next.

    Send this

    - `react native`

    - `elevenlabs OR vapi OR retell`

    - `"shopify app" NOT theme`

Search queries: what to send instead

    | Instead of | Send | Why |
    | --- | --- | --- |
    | `ai` | `"ai agent"` | Too short: matches almost everything. |
    | `react, vue, angular` | `react OR vue OR angular` | Commas don't split a search. |
    | `I need a senior React developer for a fintech app` | `react fintech` | Long sentences match almost nothing. |

Already have a search on Upwork? Send the link instead

    1. Open upwork.com/nx/search/jobs on a computer
    2. Set your search and filters
    3. Copy the address and send it to the bot

_Illustration: Browser address bar with an Upwork search link_

The bot takes the search and every filter from the link. Then you can add an AI filter.

_Illustration: The bot asks whether to match all of your words or any of them_

3. ## Step 3: Describe the jobs and clients you want, in plain words

One message, any language, even a voice message. Write it the way you'd explain it to a colleague.

    Send this

    - `Hourly from $40, expert level. Clients from the US or Western Europe, payment verified, spent $10k+, rating 4.5+.`

    ### Fix anything with one more message

    Send this

    - `rating from 4.8`

    - `also Australia`

    - `drop Canada`

    - `any budget`

Only what you mention changes; the rest stays.

Want every job for your search? Tap Skip. [All filters](https://flconsole.com/docs/telegram#filters)

_Illustration: A voice message with filters and the bot's summary of the feed_

4. ## Step 4: Tell the AI filter what to skip (optional)

Filters cut by numbers. The AI filter reads each job the way you would and drops the ones that clearly don't fit. When in doubt, it still sends the job. Free, no API keys.

    Send this

    - `Skip agencies and full-time roles. Only voice agents, no video editing.`

_Illustration: AI filter rules sent and the feed goes live_

5. ## Step 5: Get your first job

Keep the chat unmuted. Each alert shows who the client is, the rate or budget, the skills and the full description one tap away. Tap Open job on Upwork to apply.

    1. Who the client is: rating, country, money spent, hire rate
    2. Rate or budget, level and length
    3. Skills the client asked for
    4. The full description, one tap away

With narrow filters a feed can be quiet for hours. That's normal: you get only what fits.

6. ## Step 6: Change, pause or add feeds

Send `/feeds` and tap a feed. Change the search, filters or AI filter the same way you set them up.

    `/new`

    Create another feed

    `/feeds`

Change, pause or delete a feed

    `/stop`

    Pause all alerts; feeds stay

    `/resume`

    Turn alerts back on

## Let an AI write your setup

Not sure what to type? Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or any chat assistant, add a few words about yourself, and send its three answers to the bot.

Copy this prompt

- `I use the flconsole Telegram bot for Upwork job alerts. It needs three messages: 1) a search query in Upwork syntax (2–3 key skills, OR between alternatives, quotes for phrases), 2) job and client filters in plain words (job type, rate or budget, experience level, client location, payment verified, total spent, rating, hire rate), 3) an AI filter: what to skip, in plain words. Here is what I do and which jobs I want: [describe yourself]. Write the three messages, each in its own code block, nothing else.`

## Questions

### Do I need an Upwork account to use the bot?

No. flconsole never asks for your Upwork login. You open jobs on Upwork yourself when you want to apply.

### Can I write filters in my own language?

Yes. Filters and AI filter rules can be in any language, even a voice message. The search itself should be in English, because Upwork jobs are posted in English.

### Can I have several feeds?

Yes: for example, one per skill or niche. Send `/new` to add one.

### Why haven't I got any jobs yet?

Only jobs posted after your feed went live are sent. With narrow filters it can be quiet for hours. To get more jobs, tap the feed in `/feeds` and broaden the search or filters.

### How do I stop alerts for a while?

Send `/stop`. Your feeds stay; send `/resume` to turn them back on.
