How to get a daily Upwork job digest from your AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor)

Short answer: connect the free flconsole MCP server to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or the Claude app, have your agent check new Upwork jobs every 10 minutes, and rank them against a short profile file. In the 30 days to 15 October 2026, flconsole tracked about 3,292 new Upwork jobs a day, so ranking is what turns them into a digest.

  • 3,292new Upwork jobs a day, 98,766 in 30 days
  • 23%of new jobs posted between midnight and 7 am ET
  • 31/daynew jobs tagged AI agent development

How many of those jobs match you depends on your skill. Look up jobs a day and rates for it in Upwork rates by skill.

What is an Upwork job digest from an AI agent?

It is a short list of new Upwork jobs that your agent picked for you, with the reason each one fits. Three parts make it work:

  • flconsole MCP gives your agent new Upwork jobs: title, description, skills, rate or budget and the client's country, plus the full client history for the jobs it opens. It is free and never asks for your Upwork login.
  • Your agent (Claude, Codex, Cursor) reads each job and compares it with a profile file you write once.
  • You read the digest, open the jobs you like on Upwork and decide what to send.
  1. flconsole MCP

gives your agent the new jobs since its last check

  2. Every 10 minutes

a loop checks and saves the jobs that fit to a file

  3. Your digest

ranked against your profile, with the reason each one fits

  4. You

open the job on Upwork and decide what to send

flconsole MCP is a live feed: each check returns the jobs posted since the previous one. So a daily digest is built through the day. A loop saves the jobs that fit to a file, and one prompt turns the file into a ranked list.

How do you connect flconsole MCP to Claude, Codex or Cursor?

Add one server URL, then confirm the connection in Telegram. The URL is the same for every client: https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp. Sign-in works the same way everywhere:

  1. Your client opens a sign-in page in the browser.
  2. Tap Continue in Telegram (or scan the QR code with your phone). The flconsole bot opens; if you are new, tap Start.
  3. The bot names the app that wants access. Tap Allow, and the bot shows a 4-digit code.
  4. Enter the code on the sign-in page. Your client is connected.

Claude Code

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http flconsole https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp

Add --scope user to use it in every project. Then run /mcp in Claude Code, pick flconsole and choose Authenticate.

Codex

Terminal
codex mcp add flconsole --url https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp
codex mcp login flconsole

The second command opens the sign-in page in your browser.

Claude app (web, desktop and mobile)

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp, save and select Connect.

Cursor

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "flconsole": { "url": "https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp" }
  }
}

Then sign in from Cursor's MCP settings when it asks.

ChatGPT and other MCP apps

flconsole works with any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP. If your app lets you add a remote MCP server by URL with sign-in, paste the URL and confirm in Telegram as above. If it only takes a token, send /mcp to the bot and choose Manual token (other apps). Guides for each client are on the flconsole MCP server page.

Test the connection with one line, such as "Find new Upwork jobs for [your skills] and explain why each one fits".

What should your agent know about you?

Your skills, your rate floor, the clients you want and what to skip. Write it once in a short file and point every prompt to it. Save it as upwork-profile.md in the folder where you run your agent; in the Claude app, paste it at the start of the chat.

upwork-profile.md (example)
# My Upwork profile
Skills: AI voice agents (ElevenLabs, Vapi, Retell), n8n, Python, API integration
Rate floor: $40/hr, or $500+ fixed price
Good clients: payment verified, hired before, spent $1,000+
Show first: voice agents that book calls into a calendar or CRM
Skip: human voice-over, plain telephony, unpaid tests, requests to pay or to leave Upwork
Proof: Retell receptionist for a clinic, n8n lead routing for an agency

Set the rate floor from numbers, not a guess. In the 30 days to 15 October 2026, the middle half of hourly AI agent development jobs offered $20–42 an hour, with a median of $30 (flconsole data).

What rate floor should your profile file name?

Building AI pays more than using it: the median posted rate is $34 an hour for AI development and $30 for AI agent development, but $10 for jobs tagged ChatGPT.

Jobs tagged ChatGPT have a median of $10 an hour. They look like a different market: clients most often tag them with Canva, virtual assistance, Claude and administrative support, which points to using AI in admin and content work. If you build AI systems, name the skills you build with, not the chat app.

The client rule above is strict but leaves plenty: 43% of new Upwork jobs in the same period came from clients with verified payment, at least one hire and $1,000+ spent (flconsole data). The numbers behind each signal are in Upwork client red flags.

How does your agent rank jobs against your profile?

Give it a fixed score, so the digest reads the same every day. You need one because the volume is real: in AI and automation alone, dozens of new jobs are posted every day.

How many new jobs a day will your digest see?

Dozens a day in AI and automation: about 39 new jobs a day are tagged artificial intelligence, 31 AI agent development and 16 n8n. Python brings 73.

A job counts for each skill it is tagged with, so these numbers overlap. Still, a search for AI agent development, n8n or automation sees at least 31 new jobs on an average day: the count for AI agent development alone.

Ask your agent: ranking rules
Score each new job from 0 to 10 against upwork-profile.md:
+3 the skills match my main skills
+2 the rate or budget is at or above my floor
+2 the client has verified payment, has hired before and has spent $1,000+
+1 the client's hire rate is 50% or more
+1 the scope and deliverables are clear
+1 it matches a "Show first" item
Drop a job if it hits any "Skip" rule. Show only jobs with 6 or more.

Your agent reads the title, description and skills of every new job. For the jobs worth a closer look, it opens the full details: experience level, project length and the client's history, such as payment verified, rating, reviews, total spent, hire rate and account age.

Which prompt gives you the daily digest?

A loop collects the jobs during the day, and one prompt sums them up. In Claude Code, the loop is a single line:

Ask your agent: Claude Code loop
/loop 10m check new jobs in my flconsole feeds, keep only the ones that fit upwork-profile.md and add each one to upwork-digest.md with title, link, rate, client and why it fits

Use 10 minutes rather than an hour. Checks are free, and the flconsole MCP reference suggests every 5–15 minutes for monitoring. The loop runs while your Claude Code session is open.

In Codex, run codex exec from cron to check jobs while you are away. This is the line from the flconsole guide, with its output added to the same file:

crontab
*/10 * * * * codex exec "check new jobs in my flconsole feeds and list only relevant ones" >> ~/upwork-digest.md

Cron doesn't load your shell's PATH, so replace codex with the full path from which codex (for example /Users/you/.local/bin/codex). Cron runs only while your computer is on. In the Claude app and Cursor, ask for jobs when you start work.

At the end of the day, or the next morning, turn the file into the digest:

Ask your agent: daily digest
Read upwork-digest.md and remove duplicates.
Check new jobs in my flconsole feeds too.
Rank everything with my ranking rules and show the top 5:
title, link, rate or budget, the client in one line, and why it fits.
List what you skipped and why, in one line.
Then empty upwork-digest.md.
Agent session

Digest: 3 worth a look

  1. ElevenLabs voice agent for a GoHighLevel agency — $45-70/hr, US client, $41K spent, hires 71%Fits: your stack, inbound calls + booking
  2. Retell AI receptionist for dental clinics — $2,500 fixed, UK client, payment verifiedFits: the same flow you built last month
  3. AI dubbing pipeline for a YouTube channel — $50+/hr, Canada, payment verifiedFits: ElevenLabs voice cloning

Skipped 6: generic automation, human voice-over, budgets under your rate.

Example: a digest in an agent session. The agent reads new jobs, opens the best ones and says why each fits.

What about jobs posted at night?

Send them to Telegram. In the 30 days to 15 October 2026, 23% of new Upwork jobs were posted between midnight and 7 am ET (flconsole data). If your computer sleeps then, ask your agent to set up a Telegram feed with the same rules. New matching jobs then arrive in Telegram within a minute of posting, even when your agent is off.

Ask your agent: Telegram feed
Set up a flconsole feed with Telegram alerts for the skills in upwork-profile.md. Ask me about rate, client location and client history first.

Your agent shows you the feed and creates it only after you say yes. Both ways, step by step, are in how to use flconsole with your AI agent.

Description

We run a GoHighLevel agency for home-service businesses and need an ElevenLabs voice agent that answers inbound calls, qualifies leads and books appointments straight into GHL calendars. You will set up the agent, connect it to our GHL sub-accounts through webhooks and custom fields, and hand over a short Loom on how to clone it for new clients. Experience with Vapi or Retell is a plus. Long-term work if the first rollout goes well.

Feed: voice ai #voice_ai

Example: a Telegram alert from a feed your agent created. Jobs posted at night wait for you in the chat.

Can your agent write the proposal for you?

Let it draft an outline, and write and send the proposal yourself. A proposal in your own words reads better to a client, and you decide what goes out under your name.

Ask your agent: proposal outline
For job #1 in the digest, write a proposal outline, not a full proposal:
- first line: the client's main goal, in their words
- 2 proof points from upwork-profile.md that match the job
- a short plan in 3 steps
- one question about the scope
- a rate inside the client's range
Don't send anything.
Agent session

write a proposal outline for #1. Don't send anything

Outline: ElevenLabs voice agent for a GoHighLevel agency

  1. Open with their goal: every inbound call answered and booked into GHL calendars
  2. Proof: the Retell receptionist from your portfolio, calls to bookings
  3. Plan: voice agent, GHL webhooks and custom fields, a short Loom on cloning it
  4. One question: which sub-account to start with, and how many calls a day
  5. Rate: inside their $45-70/hr range

Nothing was sent. Rewrite it in your words and send it on Upwork.

Example: a proposal outline from the agent. You write the proposal and send it yourself.

If you also connected Upwork's MCP, your agent can submit a proposal there, but only after you confirm it. flconsole itself never sends anything in your name. Read every proposal before it goes out.

How is this different from Upwork's official MCP server?

Upwork's MCP acts in your Upwork account; flconsole MCP watches new jobs without touching it. Upwork launched its official MCP server on 10 August 2026. It connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP apps to your account, so your agent can search jobs, show jobs Upwork recommends, draft and submit proposals and answer messages. Every change waits for your confirmation.

A daily digest is a different job. Upwork's API & MCP Terms of Use (§4.1) don't cover activity designed to continuously monitor jobs, and one freelancer reports a policy violation after their agent checked every 15 minutes. So leave the watching to flconsole and use Upwork's MCP for actions.

The two work well together: flconsole finds new jobs that fit, your agent drafts, and Upwork's MCP sends only what you approve. See how flconsole works with Upwork's MCP.

How to set up your daily Upwork digest

  1. Connect flconsole MCP to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or the Claude app and confirm in Telegram. It takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Write upwork-profile.md: skills, rate floor, client rules and what to skip.
  3. Test once: "Find new Upwork jobs for [your skills] and explain why each one fits."
  4. Start the loop: /loop 10m … in Claude Code, or codex exec from cron.
  5. Ask for the digest once a day, with the same ranking rules.
  6. Add a Telegram feed for the hours your computer is off.
  7. Open the best jobs on Upwork and write your proposals yourself.

Questions

Yes. Connect the free flconsole MCP server to Claude Code or the Claude app, and Claude can check new Upwork jobs, read them and show you the ones that fit your profile. You sign in through Telegram; flconsole never asks for your Upwork login.

It can, through MCP. flconsole works with any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP: if your ChatGPT setup lets you add a remote MCP server by URL, add https://mcp.lite.flconsole.com/mcp and confirm in Telegram. Upwork's own MCP server also lists ChatGPT; it searches from your Upwork account.

Yes, two kinds. Upwork's official MCP server, launched on 10 August 2026, acts in your Upwork account: search, proposals, messages. flconsole runs a free hosted MCP server for new Upwork jobs that works alongside Upwork's own MCP and doesn't use your Upwork account.

Every 10 minutes is a good default; the flconsole MCP reference suggests every 5–15 minutes for monitoring. In the 30 days to 15 October 2026, flconsole tracked about 3,292 new Upwork jobs a day, 23% of them posted between midnight and 7 am ET, so add a Telegram feed for the hours your computer is off.

It shouldn't. Let it find, rank and outline. With Upwork's MCP connected, it can submit a proposal only after you confirm it, and flconsole never sends anything in your name.

Yes. flconsole doesn't need access to your Upwork profile: it never asks for your Upwork login, never connects to your Upwork account and never sends anything in your name.

About this data

  • job counts and rates are from new Upwork job posts flconsole tracked in the 30 days to 15 October 2026 (98,766 jobs).
  • The share of jobs posted at night is from the same period (98,654 jobs counted by posting hour in US Eastern Time).
  • Hourly rate is the middle of the client's posted range; rate ranges are shown only for skills with at least 100 hourly jobs with a rate.
  • A job counts for every skill the client tagged it with, so job counts of different skills overlap.
  • The share of jobs from clients with verified payment, a hire and $1,000+ spent is from the client data of the same period (98,753 jobs).
  • Agent sessions, the proposal outline, the profile file and the Telegram alert are examples, not real jobs.
  • Facts about Upwork's MCP are from Upwork's announcement of 10 August 2026 and its API & MCP Terms of Use, as listed on the Upwork MCP page.
